Our truth shifts as we grow. People and things that were once right for us in the past, may not be right for us now. Everything has its time and its place. Why hold on to people and things that are no longer right for us, that no longer have a place in our lives, that no longer align with our truth? When we hold on to these people and things, we cause ourselves unnecessary suffering.
We are like trees. We need to honour our cycles. We need to honour our seasons.
Our roots - our ancestors.
Our trunk - our family.
Our branches - our closest friends.
Our leaves - our acquaintances.
Our leaves fall off and new leaves grow, and sometimes even our branches. It's all beautiful, it's all life. Change is our only constant and our only option is to grow.
